Mountain Report Tips Up Updated: 1/26/15 @ 4:46 p.m. There's no denying we could use some new snow, however we're doing what we can to keep the mountain open, safe and fun. Tomorrow we are expecting mostly cloudy weather with a chance of showers and temps in the high 30's to low 40's. The snow will be soft and smooth where it's been groomed, however the slopes will be firm in the morning off-piste and on the shaded north facing aspects. Be aware that lower Green Valley is very icy. Downhill, Queens Run and Lucky Shot were all skiing great today with good coverage and soft, playful snow. Low snow coverage exists so please ski/ride with caution and watch for unmarked objects including areas of exposed rock, dirt and brush. Lift tickets are reduced to $53 due to limited operations and low snow; Northway, Chair 6, Gold Hills & Quicksilver are closed until further notice, along with the Sasquatch Jib Park. We still have over two months left before the end of the season, and the time will come when we're surrounded by cold pristine powder and perfect corduroy once again. It's times like these that will make us all really appreciate the winter weather once it returns. Think snow!

Theres no denying that a long, cold storm cycle would be great. Day after day, dumping foot after foot; maybe starting with some heavy, sticky snow that would bond well to the steeps and smooth everything out nicely, and then cooling down and turning into some nice light fluff that you can glide through easily like riding on a cloud. That would be excellent, and there is plenty of time for that to happen like it usually does. In the meantime though, January is playing out just as it has for the last several years: relatively warm and dry. Today it will be sunny, warm, and just plain beautiful up here. Give yourself a break from the clouds and the dampness that Washington winters are known for, and come on up. You deserve it! It might be a bit chilly in the morning, but once the sun is up you probably wont need bother with much in the way of extra layers. Dress comfortably, bring some sunglasses and sunscreen, and enjoy a day of springtime in the middle of the winter while you can. We'll be open from 9am to 4pm today. Low snow coverage exists, so please ski and ride with caution.

If you have a group coming out to the tubing center next weekend don't forget to check out our group packages and deals. Early season conditions still exist with thin cover, so be careful and watch for both marked and unmarked hazards and ski and ride with care.
