Mountain Report Tips Up Updated: 1/29/15 4:25 p.m. There's no denying we could use some new snow but there's still great coverage from mid-mountain on up! The groomers have been doing an excellent job with snow-farming and laying down some nice corduroy in Green Valley, Lucky Shot, Downwhill, Queens Run and many other mid and upper mountain trails. Come get an altitude adjustment at Washington's highest elevation ski resort. The snow has been starting out firm and fast in the morning and softens to spring corn by mid-day. We are expecting some new snow to come in after the Seahawks win on Sunday! Lift tickets are currently reduced to $53 (+ $8 for the gondola); Northway, Chair 6, Gold Hills & Quicksilver are closed until further notice, along with the Sasquatch Jib Park. Low snow coverage exists so please ski/ride with caution and watch for unmarked objects including areas of exposed rock, dirt and brush. We still have over two months before the end of the season, and the time will come when we're surrounded by cold pristine powder and perfect corduroy once again. Think snow!

Yesterday was absolutely beautiful with blue skies and sunshine. Today we're hoping for more nice weather and temperatures in the mid-30s. The groomed runs make for fun and fast skiing and are maintaining decent coverage but off the groomed will likely be firm and variable. All in all, if the weather cooperates it should be quite a fun day on the mountain. Until Friday this week, we'll be offering $30 lift tickets to anyone who owns a 2014/2015 seasons pass from another resort. Just bring your pass to the guest relations desk and they'll get you all set up. Low snow coverage and unmarked obstacles exist, so be safe out there.

It's Thursday everyone, and the weekend is almost here!!! Today we will be running West and Alpental along with Chair 2! Summit West is open for Night Skiing but remember that Pacific Crest lift will close at 5PM due to the condition on the upper part of the mountain. The following is a list of lifts and operation times: - Julies Chair will now be open 3PM-10PM - Pacific Crest will be open 9AM-5PM - Little Thunder and Upper West Carpet will be open from 9AM-10PM - Armstrong Express will be open from 9AM-4PM - Chair 2 will be open from 9AM-3PM Conditions The last few days have been absolutely beautiful and we were spoiled in terms of clear skies and spring skiing. This morning we started out with some mountain fog cover, but as 10AM rolled around we started to see some sun peeking through the clouds. Now, it is a beautiful blue bird day up here at the Summit again and everyone is out having a great time on the hill today! The best snow conditions and coverage today have been on Dodge Ridge and parts of Julies. The main run on Pacific Crest tends to have lower coverage and more hazards. At the base of West we are experiencing hard pack corduroy groomers with low snow cover. At the top of Alpental we are experiencing hard packed snow as well, but there are no groomed runs up top! This morning we do recommend you stick to the groomed runs to avoid any crunchy frozen snow off-piste. As temperatures warm up, we do expect that the conditions on the overall mountain will soften up and become more edge-able. FUN AT THE SUMMIT! - Come Join us for Super Bowl Sunday! - Stop by Stans or Timberwolf for lunch! (Full bar at Timberwolf) - Come check out our terrain park, which has moved to Julies - Have Plans for Valentines day? Make some now! The summit will be hosting a four course meal for you and your Valentine at the Silver Fir Lodge. Visit our events page for more information or to order tickets online. Early season and low snow conditions exist currently with thin cover, lower slopes particularly. Please be careful and watch for both marked and unmarked hazards and ski and ride with care! We suggest bringing up your older equipment and leaving your brand new boards at home until we gain more snow base.
