Powder Alert for Sunday
Sent out Friday evening Jan 10

The weather is tracking close to forecast. It’s looking good.

After some moderately high snow levels (6000 ft) for a short time Friday night, snow levels will drop Saturday morning, with snow continuing. This system is strong and will produce some robust winds, which could be problematic on Saturday. Snow level will continue to drop through Saturday, with snow falling at all ski area elevations, as the afternoon unfolds. Saturday will see improvement, but is more of a transitional day

Expect snow, heavy at times, with a snow level of 2500-3000ft Saturday night through Sunday and 10-20 inches of new, maybe more. I have been calling this Sunday asĀ  “the day” for almost a week now and I am sticking to it.

With less wind, low snow levels and abundant snowfall Sunday has epic powder potential and will be the best day so far this season. I’m layered up in my OR gear and I’ll see you in the Cascades this weekend.

The Grand Poobah of Powder

Go Seahawks!
Wind will hinderĀ kicking and passing game, while Saints suffer and Seahawks soar .
