What’s Open This Weekend – November 22-24

The 2013-2014 winter season in Washington State has begun thanks to the storms that arrived within the last week bringing snow to the mountains.  Several resorts have opened in the last week and more are looking to open by this coming weekend.  Here is a rundown:

Crystal Mountain Resort is currently in operation through Sunday, November 24. Closing Monday-Wednesday next week and opening again on Thursday, November 28 (Thanksgiving Day). The Mt. Rainier Gondola will operate lending access to the Green Valley Lift for skiing. Mt. Baker Ski Area begins 7-day-a-week operation today (Thursday, November 21) with operations at both the White Salmon and Heather Meadows Base Areas.  Plus with at least 7 chair lifts and main runs only are open. Stevens Pass is tentatively scheduled to reopen on Friday, November 22nd running Daisy, Brooks, Hogsback and Skyline.  Beacon Hill will have at least 10 terrain park features.  Services available include ski school, rental, equipment care and repair and retail shops. 49˚ North Mountain Resort reopens on Friday, November 22 with operations through Sunday, November 24, 9 am to 3:30 pm.  Four chair lifts (Chairs 1, 3, 4 and 5) will provide access to all basins on the mountain.  49˚ North will resume operations on Thursday, November 28.  For further information check their website http://www.ski49n.com//snow_report.php or contact Sherry Brewer, Marketing Director, 509-935-6649 x607, marketing@ski49n.com.

Mt Spokane is opening on Saturday, November 23 at 9 am.  Normal hours of operation will be in effect.  Lifts 2, 3 and 5 will open at 9:00 am, and continue operation through 4:00 pm.  Special discounted pricing will be in effect for Opening Day.
