Larry’s Powder Alert Update: January 30, 2014

Powder Alert: January 29
An update:  7:48 pm Wed evening

A real powder day is coming up on Thursday, just as as promised. Also Friday and the weekend will have wonderful leftovers and super groomers.

For the Cascades expect 4-7″-6 tonight with 2-4″ on Thursday new during the day. Snow falling will fill in tracks. SL 2500ft, so good quality. This will favor central Cascades. If a convergence zone sets up – Stevens will be in the crosshairs of the snow machine, but that could slide south to the Summit. The Summit will get help with the low snow levels. Crystal’s mid and upper slopes have good coverage and this dumpage will extend the pow experience.

Eastern WA:
Mt Spokane and 49 Degrees – 2-4″ overnight 3-5″ of new during Thursday – really,do I have to tell you anything more?

Mission: 1-2″ it will be chalky smooth on the groomers’

Bluewood: 4-8″ on Thursday – it’s light.

Loup Loup – epic quality new 3-8″ – you are so golden! Sometimes your lunch special is great.

Weekend skiing will be very good.
