POWDER ALERT
Feb 9, for the Week Ahead

Potential for the best snow of the season ahead for Washington Cascades

The storm track will relocate and aim at the Washington Cascades for the week ahead.

A series of storms will develop, lasting at least a week and maybe beyond. Snow levels will be moderate to low this week; 2500-3500ft, the levels will bounce around, dependent on what sector of the storm is moving in at the time. It will be very difficult to time the storms and they will overlap. Overall temperatures will be near normal, not the deep freeze like we had last week. I’ll send updates, but all days through the weekend look good with fresh snow.

Monday will see increasing snow, auto filing your powder tracks on Monday SL 3000ft. 6-12″ between Monday morning and Tuesday.

Expect periods of Cascade snow the rest of the week.

We have a more than adequate snowpack base, so all the new snow will be bonus material. How much? Well how about 1-3ft for the next five- seven days, with a lot of upside potential.
