Can Do Multiple Sclerosis, a national non-profit based in Avon, Colorado, is hosting an event at Crystal Mountain on February 27th called Vertical Express for MS. The event features a variety of on-mountain activities including the Vertical Express Cup, a dual slalom ski/snowboard race where racers compete for the team cup and their name on a winners’ plaque displayed at Crystal Mountain, year-round!

Not only does this race encourage team-building, it also supports a great cause. Our organization has strong roots in the ski racing community, as it was founded by Olympic Alpine Ski Medalist, Jimmie Heuga. After being diagnosed with MS, Jimmie was advised to avoid physical activity, but being a high-caliber athlete, Jimmie began developing his own program of exercise, nutrition, and mental motivation to improve his physical condition and outlook on life with MS. This is our philosophy!
