Powder Alert – Weather Update – Feb 25
Snow is in the forecast for the next two days. It’s not a game changer, but at least the snow level is low with new snow ahead. It’s a weak system coming from the northwest, headed south. The Cascades will see (3-7″) of snow (48hr total), with a snow level of 3500ft. The pattern will favor greatest snowfall in the central and south Cascades of Washington.
I was hoping, last week, this pattern would open the gates for a continuing Cascade snowfall pattern. It now appears, that change, is not in the cards. High pressure will build into the NW over the weekend producing a dry and mostly sunny pattern.
After a chance of a little snow (maybe 1-2″) on Monday, we go back into a dry pattern.
Remember some areas remain at least partially open with skiing on the upper elevation slopes. Call ahead for details.
